Jerry and Richard's third adventure in Disney World
June 1 - 5, 2000
Magic Kingdom, June 3, 2000

Saturday was the best day to spend at the Magic Kingdom because it was open until midnight, the Main Street Electric Parade was presented twice, and my niece could drive down from Jacksonville to join us. She and Jerry like those wild roller coasters. No thanks, I'll just wait over here on this bench.

Saturday was also the date of the 10th annual Gay Day at the Magic Kingdom, so they were expecting 100,000 extra people in the park, just what you need when you're lining up for your favorite rides.

There were lots of people wearing red in the Magic Kingdom on Saturday. I saw two guys wearing sparkling red boots and silver sequined sailor hats. I asked if I could take a picture, and they said only if I would be in it. Meet my new friends!
The Magic Kingdom rose to the occasion and presented an extravaganza on the castle stage which included portions of every show I've ever seen them do.
They covered the Fourth of July, Easter and even threw in a Christmas medley.

Happy Holidays!

I think these boys and girls were trying to send a message as they waited in line at the Extra-terrorestrial ride. They were happy to pose for a picture.
It was such a bright sunny Florida day, the smart people brought something to provide a little shade.

Where's Jerry?
Can you find him?

We managed to catch a few rides at the Magic Kingdom, and even ran over to MGM for the new Rockin' Roller Coaster, and a quiet dinner before returning to see the parade.
